(RL) Lust from Loss of Love

My #1 LUST, never mind complete obsession, is to adopt a shiny new iPod…like NOW!

If you hadn’t yet heard (I can’t imagine you missing the headlines) my iPod mini took it’s last download on the morning of 3/8/07. I discovered the corpse of what was once my digital security blanket this very morning. After franticly performing mouth to mouth and massaging it’s aorta…I unplugged the lil guy and laid him to rest in on the book shelf next to my desk. *sniffle*

I keep thinking back to all the great times we had….the car trips, the vacations, the sunny days on the porch, falling asleep at night to it’s subtle glow. Then a cloud of guilt passes over me…is it wrong of me to want to replace it so quickly…as if it is so easily replaceable? Is it looking down on me from that great digital grave yard in the sky in disgust?

After wrapping up the memorial service and funeral arrangements I make a quick call to Mr. Diva and send him to the mall to retrieve my new baby….a shiny new 30G White iPod Video! After all, The Diva *always* gets what The Diva wants…YIPPEE!
