(RL) TGIF!!!

I’ve been looking forward to this particular Friday for some time now…not only do I have the day off, but I’m heading to NYC for PodcampNYC AND my Mac Mini just arrived!!! I sooo want to open it up and play, but I’ve already got a full schedule so it’s gonna have to wait till Sunday.

 So who’s going to Podcamp?? There are over 1000 people registered! I was intimidated enough when I first signed up that there were already 200 ppl but how in the world am I going to meet 1000+!!?? Not to mention I only have 500 business cards. LOL…unless i bring the ones that I oopsed on and misspelled the email address.

I figured I’d post up my plans so if anyone is interested they can try to find me. I’m kinda shy in new places so its likely I will be hiding behind Lynette Radio as much as possible…or a near by plant.

I’ll be arriving by train around 3:30pm this afternoon. Once I get into Penn Station I’ll have to try and find my way to the New Yorker Hotel. It appears to be reasonably close, so I’ll prolly walk. Already planned to wear my sneaks.

Check in, get settled and changed for dinner with Gideon Television. Then off to Slate for the kick off party! I’m going to try an behave…meaning not drink too much and definately no ciggarettes!! I tend to drink a lot when I socialize and before I know it it’s too late…so I’ll *try* to behave.

Up early on Saturday for a full day of information sessions and Podcasting related talks. I’m famous for yawning thru meetings, so it’s a good thing that there is a starbucks near by….and no offense to the speakers - I’m not bored, it’s just a bad habit.

Here is my tentative scheduel…I add tentative as I don’t know how Friday will leave me as far as sleep & alcohol will go…

9am: Social Media Convergence & Virtual Worlds
10am: Live Interactive Podcasting
11am: Effectively Reaching Potential Sponsors
12pm: Lunch / stop by to see Uncle Seth
1pm: Women’s Role in Podcasting w/ Lynette, but I really should attend Chris Penn’s Podcasting 103 w/ a Mac!
2pm: Legal Questions in Podcasting (not sure what this is about so I’ll stay to the back and maybe sneak out)
3pm: Forums, Wikis, and Voice mail
4pm: Beyond Magnetization
5pm: Sex, Sponsorship & Podcasting (If nothing else- I must attend this!)

Sat Night it’s back to Slate for more social interactions. They off to the Canal room to see Brother Love.
